Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide age-specific care across a designated patient group using the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and the health team to coordinate procedures and treatments, applying leadership and clinical judgment in directing care.

Responsibilities include conducting patient interviews, assessing status, documenting care plans, and participating in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient interview, assesses health status, documents care plan and outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team in coordinating procedures and treatments.
• Implements, monitors, and revises the plan of care to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients and families on drug interactions and effects.
• Participates in discharge planning and coordinates referrals as appropriate.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Current NY RN license

BSN in progress (within 2 years of entry)
