Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital seeks a nursing leader to join the departmental leadership team, providing clinical supervision on a shift basis and coordinating patient flow, admissions, discharges and transfers. You will help staff allocation with the Director and act as a role model for the team.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring adherence to Baptist Health System policies while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Texas State RN license required; National Specialty Certification preferred.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire; additional certifications may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Supports established goals and objectives that support overall strategic plans of the facility.
• Monitors the department operating and capital budgets.
• Supervises daily operations of assigned department.
• Supervises performance of staff and provides input into evaluations.
• Bases decisions on facts and maintains objectivity.
• Supports Baptist Health System mission, policies and procedures.
• Eliminates boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient, high-quality service.
• Ensures ongoing regulatory compliance and serves as a resource to staff and customers.
• Demonstrates flexibility in response to change and anticipates risks.
