Job summary

Baptist Health System in Texas is seeking a RN Shift Supervisor to join the leadership team. You will coordinate patient care, admissions, discharges and transfers, and oversee unit staffing with the Director or Clinical Manager.

You will serve as a clinical resource, supervise staff, participate in evaluations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while promoting quality care and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Active Texas State RN license.
• BLS required on hire; AHA BLS within 60 days.
• ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention required depending on department.
• ENPC preferred in the Emergency Department.
• 1 year minimum experience in an equivalent unit; 4 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports established goals and objectives that support overall strategic plans of the facility/Baptist Health System
• Monitors the annual department operating and capital budgets
• Supervises daily operations of assigned department/s
• Supervises performance of staff
• Demonstrates objectivity in decision making, utilizing facts to support decisions
• Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System
• Participates in eliminating boundaries to achieve integrated, efficient and quality service
• Achieves ongoing compliance with all regulatory agencies
• Serves as a resource to employees and customers as demonstrated by visibility and knowledge of issues
• Demonstrates flexibility in response to change
