Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide individualized care in the Same Day Surgery/PACU area using the nursing process. You will collaborate with nursing staff to ensure total patient care and comply with age-related protocols.

Requirements include an IA RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and about one year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience. The shift structure includes 72 hours per pay period with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• IA RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• One year of Medical/Surgical or similar nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care in the Same Day Surgery/PACU area using the nursing process.
• Assume responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during your shift.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the Same Day Surgery/PACU area
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements

• Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
• IA RN license
• BLS and ACLS are required
• One year of Medical/Surgical or similar nursing experience preferred

Schedule: 2 full-time positions available!

• 72 hours a pay period - combination of 8 & 10 hr shifts
• Self scheduling 6 week block
• Paid on-call for nights, weekends, and holidays
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
