Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide individualized care across post-operative and acute hospital settings. You will work 12-hour day/night shifts during a 72-hour pay period, with holiday and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification available on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for post-operative and acute hospital patients.
• Assume responsibility for outcomes of nursing care during assigned shift.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure total patient care.
• Follow age-related patient protocols for physical and psychological needs.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

• Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care for post-operative and acute care patients requiring hospitalization
• Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
• Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
• Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements

• IA RN license or compact state
• BLS and ACLS - inhouse certification available upon hire

Schedule

• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
