Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a proactive Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for our premier long-term care facility in New York. This on-site leadership role focuses on clinical quality, risk mitigation, and DOH reporting.

The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, 3+ years in long-term care, and hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables to the Department of Health, with a track record of improving safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Non-Negotiable: hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables to the Department of Health (DOH).
3+ years of RN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute facility.
Prior experience as ADON / Risk Manager / QIC / Clinical Supervisor in long-term care.
Deep understanding of DOH reporting mandates and state surveys.

Responsibilities

Direct the investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of all facility accidents, incidents, and reportable events to DOH.
Partner with the DON to oversee daily nursing operations and maintain high clinical quality standards.
Conduct root-cause analyses on clinical incidents and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local DOH regulations and lead survey readiness.
Educate and train nursing staff on safety protocols, risk reduction, and incident documentation.
