Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN Resident for the Rapid Observation Unit to deliver patient care during the ED journey. You will work nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), collaborate with a success coach, and help determine care priorities while documenting care in the medical record.

New graduates or those with <1 year RN experience are welcome, with opportunities to move into ER, CVI, or PACU as you develop clinically and professionally.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA or Red Cross.
• New graduate RN or <1 year RN experience, or experienced RN moving to acute direct care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity and resources.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients and take corrective action.
• Seek supervision and assistance when needed.
• Document in patients' medical records.
