Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN Specialist for the Medical Emergency Team. This night-shift position (7:00 pm–7:30 am) supports critical care responses, rounds on inpatient units, and collaborates with physicians, APPs and RTs to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include proactive rounding, data-driven problem solving, and education of nursing staff on code response and resuscitation. Two years in a complex critical care environment and current RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS certification; PALS preferred or within hire period.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes for identifying patients requiring critical assessment and intervention.
• Implement action plans identified through data and case reviews.
• Provide rapid response during MET/Codes and stabilize patients.
• Collaborate with MET team and primary nurses to address acute issues.
• Educate and support nursing caregivers in code response and procedures.
