Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN for the Rapid Observation Unit in the Emergency Department. You will deliver direct nursing care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with families to support outcomes.

The position offers opportunities to advance into other areas such as the ER, CVI or PACU, with emphasis on ongoing education and clinical ladder progression, while maintaining patient-centered care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a patient population
• Complete ongoing assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
• Develop and update goals, involving patients and families in care
• Administer treatments and medications and document appropriately
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of outcomes and quality improvement
• Delegate tasks and pursue ongoing education and certifications
