Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) at Akron General Medical Center. You will deliver high-quality nursing care across the patient journey and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level I ED setting.

Responsibilities include ED assessments, care planning, patient education, and accurate documentation. Requires Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS within hire period, and orientation completion.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS/ALS certification within one year of hire.
• PALS certification within one year of hire.
• Completion of AGMC RN and critical care orientation programs and Critical Care course.

Responsibilities

• Complete Emergency Department Assessment Data Base on patient arrival, including psychosocial and age-specific needs.
• Complete ongoing assessments per policies and recognize significant changes in patient condition.
• Initiate an individualized plan of care based on assessment and ED standards of care.
• Provide teaching for patient and family.
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses.
