Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a New Grad RN Resident for the Rapid Observation Unit, working nights 7:00 PM–7:30 AM in Akron. You will learn under a success coach, deliver patient care across the patient journey, and support families while building foundational nursing experience.

You will participate in a residency core curriculum, develop clinical judgment, and have opportunities to advance into ER, CVI or PACU as you grow within a world-class health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience OR experienced RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care according to acuity and resources.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and take corrective action.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
