Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for the Rehabilitation Unit. The role covers night shifts, works in a 36 hours per week schedule, and involves coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team to support patients recovering their independence.

Preferred BSN; ADN accepted with progression to BSN. Must hold an active MD or compact RN license and CPR. Minimum six months of nursing experience required.

Qualifications

  • Current MD or compact/multi-state RN license required.
  • Minimum six months of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to support patient rehabilitation.
  • Mentor RNs to develop leadership skills within the unit.
  • Contribute to patient recovery plans and discharge planning.

OurRehabilitation Unitis a Med/Surg unit that specializes in rehabilitation. Registered Nurses, RNs, in this unit care for our patients who are recovering from illnesses to regain their independence. Rehabilitation RNs is very rewarding as we get to partner with our patients over the period of time and help them on their road to recovery.

TheRegistered Nursewill be part of the amazing interdisciplinary team to coordinate care of their assigned patients. Registered nurses will be mentored to develop their leadership skills. As part of the team approach, Registered Nurses will learn about the science of rehabilitation nursing.Our RNs make a difference in our patients' lives and their families!

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (Required),
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
  • Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
  • Current MD or compact/multi-state RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
  • Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)
