Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a part-time New Grad RN for the Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU) in Baltimore, MD. The 21‑bed unit provides high-acuity care with 2:1 or 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratios; six-week self scheduling and 12-hour rotating shifts are available.

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts w/six weeks' self scheduling

The Medical Progressive Care Unitat The Johns Hopkins Hospital is a 21-bed high acuity step-down unit, caring for critically ill adult medical patients. Patient population includes those with complex organ disease, requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, and continuous monitoring. Common medical diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleed, liver failure, and DKA. This is a highly skilled floor, from which new staff will gain instrumental experience. Nurse to patient ratios are 2:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity. There is opportunity for growth on the MPCU, regardless of where you are in your career!
