Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical A Unit. This full-time position (36 hours/week) offers day and night rotating shifts in a busy 31-bed telemonitoring pulmonary unit serving a diverse patient population. Required ADN (BSN preferred), Maryland RN license (compact allowed), CPR, and at least 6 months of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in Maryland or compact state
• CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required with enrollment in BSN within 1 year of hire and completion within 5 years
• Previous experience as a patient care tech or student nurse tech is helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Medical A Unit, including telemetry patients
• Perform monitoring and assist with pulmonary/diabetes, cardiac, and renal condition management
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Support a diverse patient population and contribute to an inviting, learning-focused environment

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) (Required),
• Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
• RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
• CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
• Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)
