Firelands Health is seeking a Part-Time RN for Recovery Rooms in Sandusky, OH. The role runs 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., on-site, with potential call. This position focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring safe discharge planning.

Ideal candidates have an active Ohio RN license, CPR, and at least one year of experience. ACLS and EKG certification are required within 6 months of hire, with board certification preferred within two years.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license and CPR required before patient care.
• Prefer at least 1 year of RN experience.
• ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills; computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients, following physician orders per Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments, monitors, and documents nursing interventions; reports to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family on treatments and discharge planning.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains medications/supplies and keeps environment clean.
• Demonstrates service excellence and ACE values; advocates for Firelands Health.

What You Will Do:

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment
• Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

What You Will Need:

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• Current ACLS and Basic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
