Firelands Health is seeking a full-time RN for 4N/Med-Surg/Peds on-site in Sandusky. The role includes implementing nursing care, conducting assessments, and guiding patients and families toward safe discharge. You will coordinate with physicians and staff to maintain high-quality care, while upholding the hospital's service standards.

Qualifications include an active Ohio RN license, CPR, and ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire. Board certification is preferred within 2 years.

Qualifications

• : ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• : Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• : Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients according to physicians orders and Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments, documents nursing interventions, and reports findings to physicians.
• Instructs patients, staff and family on treatments and care for a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; ensures medications and supplies are available and equipment is kept clean.
• Demonstrates service excellence and acts as an ambassador for Firelands Health.

What You Will Do:

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

What You Will Need:

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Current ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Board certification is preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
