Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Progressive (Step-Down) unit on a full-time, nights shift (7p-7a) in Sandusky, OH. You will deliver patient-centered care, follow physician orders, monitor patient status, and document in medical records while collaborating with the care team. Requires Ohio RN license and CPR; ACLS and EKG within 6 months.

A PCCN is preferred within 2 years. We offer a $5,000 retention bonus, tuition assistance, and robust benefits to support work-life

What You Will Do:

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

What You Will Need:

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Current ACLS andBasic EKG required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• PCCNcertification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
