Job summary

Firelands Health in Sandusky, OH seeks an RN, Registered Nurse or LPN-IV Psych for full-time night shift (7p–7a) on-site. You will provide direct patient care in psychiatric settings, collaborate with the care team, and support safe discharge planning.

Candidates must hold an Ohio RN or LPN-IV license with CPR; psychiatric certification, ACLS, and EKG are a plus. Strong organizational, customer service, and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN or LPN-IV license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Psychiatric Certification, Basic EKG, and ACLS preferred.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
• Demonstrate service excellence and acts as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
