BayCare Health System seeks an RN – ICU Pool to provide dedicated critical care nursing across multiple BayCare locations in the Tampa Bay area. The pool role supports 4–12 hour shifts and includes weekend coverage, with shifts occurring day and night.

This in-person role requires RN licensure, ICU experience, and BLS/ACLS certs. BayCare offers a robust benefits package and a supportive team environment across 16 hospitals.

Formación

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 2-year experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

Responsabilidades

• Cares for ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to health care team
• Monitors patient vitals and assessments and communicates changes to the care team
• Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care

Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the Intensive Care Units in Pinellas County, Florida.

Positions Options:

• Locations: Multiple Locations

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical, Cardiovascular and Neuroscience

• Pool - as needed - 4-12 hours shifts per 6-week time frame

• 2 weekend shifts per 6-weeks

• Day Shift - 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

• Night Shift - 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

• Always in person

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License

• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

The Registered Nurse – ICU responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care

• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge

• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

• Professional accountability and development
