Complete Care at Meriden is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care for residents recently discharged from hospital or in long-term care. The role offers full and part-time positions with opportunities for growth and PRN options based on experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Connecticut.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and professional references.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and clinical professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including oral, topical, IV and injectable forms.
• Provide treatments such as wound care, pain management and dressings.
• Perform health assessments and monitor changes; analyze data.
• Create, update and execute individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers and staff.
• Educate residents and families about health status and care expectations.
• Document health status, care provided and progress for records.
• Oversee and delegate tasks to LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality care.

Here’s What You’ll Do for Our Residents:

Administer Medications: Give oral, topical, IV, injectable medications

Treatments: Perform wound care/prevention, manage pain, apply dressings

Care Planning: Create, update & execute individualized care

Collaboration: Strategize care with physicians, therapists, social workers & others

Family & Resident Education: Explain health status, changes and expectations for care

Documentation: Keep a detailed record of health status, all care, progress & interactions

Team Oversight: Oversee & delegate to LPN’s and CNA’s ensuring quality care/teamwork
