Job summary

Cypress Village in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide resident-centered care in our skilled nursing center. You will supervise staff, administer medications, and ensure safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 6 months of geriatric nursing experience.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing staff on shift.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately.
• Provide and receive shift reports.
• Conduct twice-daily rounds to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Keep physicians and families informed of changes in residents’ condition.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain documentation of all care rendered.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for continuity of care.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Our RNs work 12-hour shifts caring for our residents at our skilled nursing center.

• Are a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in Florida.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in geriatric nursing (a plus).
• Have supervisory experience (a plus).

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
