Cypress Village is hiring for an LPN on our nursing team in Jacksonville, FL. The role requires a Florida license and nursing degree, with experience in geriatric care.

Qualifications

• LPN with a Florida license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• At least 6 months of geriatric nursing experience.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong communication and confidentiality.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on shift.
• Administer direct care as necessary.
• Give and receive shift reports.
• Round twice a shift to ensure proper care.
• Keep physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ conditions.
• Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and safety of each resident.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure continuity of care.
• Accompany physicians when making rounds.
• Encourage restorative care to obtain maximum resident independence.
