Job summary

Cypress Village in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (LPN required) to oversee direct care and the nursing team on one or more shifts. On-site role with a strong emphasis on patient safety, documentation, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• LPN with current Florida license.
• Minimum 6 months of geriatric nursing experience (a plus).
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on shift.
• Administer direct care as necessary.
• Give and receive shift reports.
• Round twice per shift to ensure proper care and safety.
• Keep physicians and families informed of changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain residents' dignity and safety and document care.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for continuity of care.
• Accompany physicians during rounds.
• Promote restorative care to maximize independence.

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
• Administer direct care as necessary.
• Give and receive shift reports.
• Round twice a shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keep physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ conditions.
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Respond to the resident emergency call system.
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure continuity of care and services.
• Accompany physicians when making rounds.
• Encourage restorative care to obtain maximum resident independence.
• Are a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an LPN with a current license in Florida.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in geriatric nursing (a plus).
• Have supervisory experience (a plus).
• Have basic computer proficiency.
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
• Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
