Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a nursing degree or diploma.
• RN licensure required in the state of practice.
• Active RN license in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care in a humane environment that respects residents' rights and dignity.
• Supervises GNA and subordinate staff, reviewing work to ensure completion of assignments.
• Administers parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administers medications within RN scope; maintains narcotics inventory and safety.
• Reviews daily the dispensing of controlled substances and narcotics.

Qualifications for the (RN) Registered Nurse:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program
• Registered with the state as an RN / Registered Nurse

Responsibilities as an (RN) Registered Nurse:

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents/residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
• Provides supervision to G.N.A's and all subordinate staff which includes checking their work to ascertain that assignments have been completed.
• Administer all parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administer medications within the scope of practice of the RN Licensure. Maintain a current report of narcotics received and used.
• Review daily the documentation of the dispensing of the controlled substances and narcotics.
