Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Midwife in California is required.
- Registered Nurse License in California is mandatory.
- National Provider Identifier is necessary.
- Nurse Midwife National Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is a must.
Responsibilities
- Manage the care of women during labor and delivery.
- Perform physical examinations and record medical histories.
- Obtain and interpret ultrasound examinations.
- Provide counsel and health education to patients.
- Conduct normal spontaneous vaginal deliveries independently.
