Job summary

Sterling Care Riverside in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to supervise staff and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of residents. The RN will administer medications, supervise G.N.As, and adhere to nursing policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered with the state as an RN / Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents in an environment that promotes rights and dignity.
• Provides supervision to G.N.A’s and subordinate staff, ensuring assignments are completed.
• Administer parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administer medications within the RN scope of practice; maintain narcotics records.
• Review daily documentation of controlled substances and narcotics dispensing.

Responsibilities as the (RN) Registered Nurse

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents/residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
• Provides supervision to G.N.A’s and all subordinate staff which includes checking their work to ascertain that assignments have been completed.
• Administer all parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administer medications within the scope of practice of the RN Licensure. Maintain a current report of narcotics received and used.
• Review daily the documentation of the dispensing of the controlled substances and narcotics.
