Mercy Health’s St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit. The RN delivers exceptional nursing care, assesses patient status, develops and implements care plans, and ensures a safe therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BSN preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with state practice and organizational policies.
