Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center– Grapevine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 32-bed unit handles high-acuity patients such as trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac events, with 1:3 to 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios.

The RN will perform clinical assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, Case Management, PT/OT, and other staff. Shift is FT Days, 7am–7pm, with a focus on safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited nursing program.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritise patient and family needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Educate patients and families and document learning needs.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up.
• Collaborate with physicians, Case Management, PT/OT, and other team members.
