The unit handles stroke and neuro-intermediate cases with high acuity telemetry in a 35-bed setting, with 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratios and rotating weekends/holidays. Requirements include Diploma of Nursing or ADN, RN license in Texas (or compact), BCLS and ACLS within specified timelines, CPI training, and preference for BSN.

Qualifikationen

• Nursing degree or diploma required.
• RN licensure in Texas or compact license.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year Stepdown/Progressive Care or 3 years Telemetry in acute care preferred.

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient and plans care.
• Intervenes and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Maintains safety and infection control per age-specific needs.
• Ensures continuity of care across shifts and transfers.
