Job summary

Armor Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a correctional facility. The role involves delivering holistic nursing care, documenting health assessments, and coordinating with healthcare staff.

You will develop care plans, administer medications, and support physicians in procedures as needed. A strong background in EMR and compliance with Level 2 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs and document assessments on admission.
• Communicate triage decisions to health care providers during custody and discharge.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans with health care teams.
• Administer medications per physician orders and monitor nutrition/diet plans.
• Assist physicians in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
• During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc., according to physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.
