Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Blair County Jail in Hollisdayburg, PA. This PRN day shift position runs 6a–6:30p with 12-hour shifts, delivering holistic nursing care in a correctional setting.

The RN will assess patients, document assessments, administer medications, and support physicians. Candidates must hold an active PA RN license, CPR certification, and be able to pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic RN care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions; document health history and admission assessment.
• Document and communicate triage decisions during custody and discharge.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans with healthcare providers.
• Implement medical care plans including diagnostics and EKGs per physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; manage nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Assist physicians in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
• During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc., according to physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

Qualifications
