Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Riverside County Jail team on a PRN basis, day shifts from 7a-7p. The RN will provide holistic nursing care in a correctional setting, assessing patients and documenting care upon admission, triage, and discharge, and will support physicians in procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment upon admission.
• Document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider during custody and upon discharge.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans including diagnostic tests and EKGs per physician orders.
• Administer medications using appropriate techniques and routes; manage nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
