Job summary

SCA Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role. You will assess preoperative and postoperative status, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to deliver high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS/BCLS and ACLS within required timelines, and about one year of PreOp or PACU experience. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice with good standing; BLS/BCLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological systems and pain management.
• Interpret monitoring data and apply appropriate discharge criteria.
• Develop and implement an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Perform perioperative interventions to ensure safe recovery and patient protection.
• Communicate patient status across the perioperative continuum and provide education as needed.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgery, and nursing teams; document care completely and accurately.
