Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Pre-Transplant Coordinator (RN) to coordinate all aspects of the transplant referral, evaluation, waiting period, and peri-operative phases. You will work with the transplant team to ensure compassionate, efficient care while supporting patient rights and safety.

The role requires strong nursing skills, organization, and the ability to communicate with patients, families, and physicians.

Qualifications

• RN with Texas license and BSN or higher required.
• Minimum nursing experience with transplant-related care preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate evaluation and waitlist processes for transplant candidates.
• Educate patients/families on transplantation process and donor options.
• Collaborate with interprofessional transplant team to ensure quality care.
• Monitor patient status and manage scheduling across perioperative phases.
