Job summary

Essentia Health Surgery Center – Miller Hill in Duluth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in the Ambulatory Surgery Center, guiding the patient flow and collaborating with physicians, staff, and families.

Qualifications include current RN licensure in the employed state, minimum 2 years of OR/ASC experience, EMR proficiency, and BCLS; ACLS and PALS within one year. Shift is day rotation, 0.8 FTE, 7:00–15:30.

Job Description

Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. In conjuction with team members directs the patient flow of the day. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Minimum of 2 years of expereince within a hospital or a Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Operating Room. Must have experience with electronic medical record.
