Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a licensed nurse to provide patient care within the Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will support day-to-day operations, direct patient flow, and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families and other departments.

The role requires a minimum of two years in an OR within a hospital or ASC, and EMR experience. Work hours are 0900–1400, five hours a day, 25 hours per week, in a day-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience within a hospital or ASC Operating Room.
• Must have experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provides care within nursing standards of practice and ASC policies.
• Directs patient flow and communicates with physicians, patients, families and staff.

Job Description: Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. In conjunction with team members directs the patient flow of the day. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Minimum of 2 years of experience within a hospital or an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Operating Room. Must have experience with electronic medical record.

This position will work 5 hours a day (25 hours a week) from 0900-1400.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Certification/Licensure Required: Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year
