Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an Emergency Services RN for the 0.75 FTE position at St Marys Medical Center. The RN will organize and provide nursing care from assessment through evaluation, delegating tasks and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications include BSN/ADN, current licensure, BCLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC within stated timelines, and 1 year of critical care or ED experience in the last 5 years.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. The RN contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

Education Qualifications:

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to:

ADN: $7,500

BSN: $10,000

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year

Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) certification within 1 year

Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 2 years

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 2 years

Must Meet the Following Qualifications:

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• One year of Critical Care experience (includes ICU, PACU, 24 Hour Care) or Emergency Department experience in an ED with a yearly census greater than 20,000. All experience must be within the last 5 years.
• Preferred ED Charge and Triage RN Experience
• Demonstrated clinical leadership experience
