Job summary

The RN Pre-Op & PACU at Surgery Partners oversees peri-anesthesia care to ensure patient safety from pre-procedure education through post-operative recovery. This role involves conducting health assessments, creating individualized care plans, monitoring patients, and ensuring caregivers understand discharge instructions.

Responsibilities include documenting care in the medical record, collaborating with the surgical team, and maintaining compliance with CMS, state, and accreditation standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• ASN or BSN nursing degree from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedure assessments and plan of care.
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide pre-operative education.
• Monitor post-anesthesia and PACU patients and manage pain.
• Document all care and interventions in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospital staff and partners to ensure high-quality patient care.
