Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking an RN Pre-Op & PACU to ensure patient safety throughout peri-anesthesia care. You will educate patients, perform assessments, and develop individualized care plans.

The role includes monitoring post-operative patients, ensuring preparedness for discharge and clear post-operative instructions. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessments, post-anesthesia monitoring, pain management, and ensuring compliance with infection control and CMS standards.

Qualifications

• Current ability to make sound clinical decisions.
• Ability to concentrate on individual patient care and perform calmly under pressure.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide pre-operative education and instructions.
• Monitor patients in the PACU and manage post-anesthesia care and pain control.
• Document assessments and care plans thoroughly in the medical record.
• Recognize emergencies and respond using clinical judgment and professional expertise.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection prevention, risk management and CMS/AAAHC standards.
