Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking an RN for Pre-Op & PACU in Missouri to ensure patient safety across peri-anesthesia care. The role involves educating patients, performing health assessments, and creating individualized care plans, plus monitoring post-operative patients and guiding discharge preparation.

Required qualifications include an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and an AS/BSN in nursing. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and an hourly pay range based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license issued by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedure assessments and formulate care plans based on patient needs.
• Provide pre-operative education and instructions to patients.
• Document assessments and care plans in the medical record.
• Assess and monitor post-anesthesia patients in PACU.
• Deliver post-operative pain management and comfort measures.
• Ensure discharge readiness and educate patients and caregivers on discharge instructions.
