Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington in TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the Post Surgical Unit. The RN will provide comprehensive post-operative nursing care, manage pain, promote early ambulation, and coordinate with surgeons and post-acute teams to ensure a smooth recovery.

The role requires accuracy in a fast-paced environment, strong communication, and the ability to work with a wide range of ages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN License.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• PALS recommended.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU.
• Strong ER experience preferred.
• 1-year orthopedic nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for post-surgical patients.
• Ensure high-quality, safe patient care and compliance with professional standards.
• Care for patients from ages 2 years to geriatric.
• Coordinate with surgeons and post-acute caregivers for seamless continuity of care.
• Work nights 3x per week in the Post Surgical Unit.
