Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in New Brunswick, NJ for the Post Intensive Care Unit III. The role offers a part-time day schedule with 36 hours per week, competitive hourly pay, and weekend/holiday rotations.

The RN will provide direct patient care, assessments, and documentation in EPIC EMR, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have NJ RN licensure, BLS, and ideally ACLS; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
ACLS preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients.
Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments with strong clinical judgment.
Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for informed care transitions.
Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record to promote continuity and safety.
Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and collaborative decision-making.
Pursue ongoing professional growth through continuing education and career development resources.
