Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Rahway, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Intensive Care-III unit. This full-time day-shift position runs 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend and holiday rotations. Active NJ RN license, IV certification, BLS, and ACLS are required or soon after hire.

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred, with EPIC EMR experience valued. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to ensure

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• IV certification within 90 days or upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS required on hire or within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Prior Med/Surg/Telemtry/ER experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure smooth transitions.
