Job summary
Banner Health is seeking a registered nurse for a per diem role in our Banner Staffing Services in Arizona. The RN will join an acute care unit, providing nursing care on a 7pm–7:30am shift with a night-differential and weekend differential when applicable.
The position requires 18 months of RN experience, with 12 months in Progressive Care, BLS and ACLS on hire, and completion of post-offer screenings. Per diem status means flexible hours and no guaranteed shifts.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS may be required upon hire.
- Minimum of 18 months RN experience; 12 months on Progressive Care Unit within last 18 months.
- Post-offer physical, drug screen and background check required.
- Per Diem position has no guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and plan individualized nursing care.
- Implement and coordinate patient care with the health care team.
- Document care and patient responses in the medical record.
- Provide teaching and discharge planning in collaboration with the team.
- Promote patient safety and quality outcomes on the unit.
