Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Registry/Per Diem RN for our GI/Ortho Acute Care PCU in Sun City, Arizona. The position supports post-operative orthopedic and GI care across 5A/5B and 5D units, with a focus on high-quality nursing practice, teamwork, and positive patient outcomes.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and at least 12–18 months of recent RN experience in an acute care setting. Per diem status offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to work with a dedicated Banner team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, and discharge needs.
• Develop and adjust care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Document patient status and progress in the medical record.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
