Job summary
Banner Health, through Banner Staffing Services, is seeking a registered nurse for per diem assignments at Banner University Phoenix Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. The role supports specialized patient populations with consultative nursing care and education, with shift patterns currently Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and no weekend duties.
Per diem positions do not include guaranteed hours or a traditional benefits package, and candidates must meet post-offer health screening and background
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in nursing, healthcare or related field.
- Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure.
- BLS certification is required.
- Requires 2–3 years of experience in the clinical area of specialty.
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and during employment.
Responsibilities
- Manages and influences the quality of patient outcomes and clinical care through application of specialized knowledge.
- Provides specialty focused nursing consultation on complex patient cases and evaluates outcomes.
- Serves as a specialized clinical resource to patients, families and staff to advance quality of care.
- Identifies opportunities for staff development and learning through training and education.
