Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Skokie, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, safe care in Nursery, ISCU, Pediatrics, and Labor & Delivery during night shifts. This per diem role requires independence in planning, implementing, and evaluating care using the nursing process.

You will coordinate with the healthcare team, supervise unlicensed staff, and travel between Evanston and Highland Hospital facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois nursing license
• NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA)
• Minimum two years of recent acute care experience in Nursery, Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, or ISCU
• Experience in neonatal, pediatric, or labor/delivery settings is essential

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care for labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery, and pediatric patients
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and communicate effectively with team members
• Promote safety and high-quality patient experiences
• Supervise and direct assigned staff to ensure seamless care delivery
• Travel between Evanston and Highland Hospital facilities as needed

• Hourly pay ranges from $37.25 to $57.74, based on experience
