Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step-Down to work Full Time Nights in Snellville, GA. The unit features 24 beds and a team of RNs, PCAs, Charge Nurses, and clinical leadership. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available.

The RN provides bedside nursing care across the lifecycle, following evidence-based practices, with a focus on autonomy, teamwork, and accountability in a high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current Georgia RN license (or multi-state) and BLS CPR.
• New graduates eligible, experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments across newborn to adult as part of lifecycle.
• Evaluate developmental age during assessments and education.
• Organize data into care plan and identify outcomes.
• Carry out care plan to achieve outcomes.
• Provide care appropriate to disease severity and plan.
• Oversee ancillary and support staff activities.
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources for patient education.
• Communicate issues to Charge Nurse/Manager/physician as appropriate.
• Document care and concerns in patient record.
