Job summary

Trinity Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Neuro unit on the night shift (7pm–7am) to provide exceptional patient care on a 30-bed unit focused on neuroscience and telemetry monitoring. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, administer medications, educate patients and families, maintain accurate records, and develop care plans.

A BSN is preferred; if not held, you must sign an agreement to obtain it within a specified time frame.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred; if BSN/MSN not present on hire, must sign agreement to obtain within a specified time frame.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care.
• Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of patient.
• Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
• Administer medications to patients, provide education and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
• Assess, monitor, report and record patient condition and pertinent changes.
• Design, implement and evaluate patient nursing care plans with healthcare team.
• Educates patients and family throughout stay and in preparation for discharge.
