Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Acute/Cardiac unit in Silver Spring, MD. This part-time, 24-hour weekly night shift role requires applying the nursing process to care for acutely ill patients and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will monitor patients, administer medications, educate families, and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians and staff. A BSN is preferred and Maryland RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Maryland RN license or Compact state license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience, preferably cardiac.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care.
• Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate for patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
• Administer medications and monitor efficacy and side effects.
• Assess, monitor, and record patient conditions and changes.
• Design and evaluate nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families during stay and before discharge.
